LABOR'S PROTESTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, July 3. A meeting of the Waag&iwi branah of the New Zealand Labor Party paMed a resolution regretting the curtailment of the railway services, which the meeting considered could have been averted by better management. The meeting advocated the enrriagf of building materials in preference to liquor, anaprotested against threats by Mr. Field, M.P., to use iu the cvont of legislation being carried contrary to bil personal interests, and asking what measures were being taken to brinir lnm to justioe. A supporting resolution was passed by watersiders demanding the repeal of the War Regulations and the release of all conscientious objectors, also emphatically protesting against vouths' gf IS years being subjected to'a period of four months military training in camps. , LORD JELLICOE'S VISIT. Wellington, Last Night The Government has decided that no subsidies shall be paid in respect of tli# festivities arranged when the New Zealand and Admiral Jellicoe come to the Dominion, but nil expenditure made by local bodies will be validated.
