STRANDED NEW ZEALANDERS.

MANY AT STARVATION POINT. By leleErash.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, June 22. The stranded New Zealanders have cabled to Sir James Allen that the Moeraki has been definitely held up and that the outlook is desperate. They strongly urge the issue of immediate instructions to overseas ships, such as the Armah, Shropshire, and others which are due, to relieve the situation. The number stranded is over 8000 and is daily increasing. Many are at starvation point. Government assistance is inade-quate.—Aus.-NX Cable Assn.
