CABINET TO DECIDE TO-DAY-By Telegraph.—Press Association, Cliristcliurch, June 21. Sir Jas. Alton stated to-night that the original proposal to start the peace celebrations in New Zealand on the second Sunday after the signing of the preliminary treaty had not been definitely declared upon, and the whole matter of peace celebrations in New Zealand and their date would be definitely decided at a meeting of Cabinet on Monday.
