TRENTHAM CAMP.
CLOSED TEMPORARILY. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Wellington, June 10. Trentliam Camp was, closed down at the beginning of tliis month, and will remain closed until the end of August. In the meantime, the Trentbam instructional staffs have been detailed to visit the military districts and conduct courses of instruction for officers and n.c.o's of the Cadets and Territorials. The classes have already been opened- The courses will not overlap in any single districf., nu tljat men who can spare the time will be able to take two or more courses.
The courses cover infantry training, musketry, machine-gun drill, and physical training. Each course will occupy a fortnight, and the officers and n.c.o's will be given an opportunity to acquire knowledge that will be of very great value to them in the training of their own units. Travelling warrants are being issued to men attending from outstations, and an allowance to cover expenses ia made at the rate of 12s per day for officers and 10s per day for n.c.o'a.
