INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC.
THE STRANDED NEW ZEALANDERS. HEALTH DEPARTMENT'S PRECAUTIONS. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Hon. G. W. Russell states that the Health Department has agreed to relax the embargo on passenger traffic from Australia to the extent of allowing a passenger list of 200 in a vessel leaving Sydney a,bout the middle of June. The Minister adds that this decision has been come to after very grave consideration, owing to the fact that the last news from Australia in regard to the epidemic was by no means; reassuring. A medical officer is to accompany them, and for this purpose Dr. H. A. Davis is going to Sydney by the Manuka. Ho will arrange for the medical examination of all passengers tit Sydney in order that no danger may be incurred.
