j SUGGESTED NEW QUARANTINE PORT. Sydney, April 20. Mr. Massey Green informed a deputation that he was urging the removal of the quarantine area from the North Head, and that the officers of the department were preparing a report upon the suitability of Port Stephens as the quarantine port for New South Wales. It was unlikely that the Cabinet would Interfere with the consultative medical council's recommendations. VISIT OF JAPANESE FLEET CANCELLED. t Melbourne, April 29. Owing to the prevalence of iufiuenza, the Japanese squadron has cancelled its visit to the Eastern States.
