GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY FOR HOSPITALS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, April 20. The Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, at to-day's meeting, made a general increase in the wages and salaries of members of its staffs. The board decided to protest to the Government and to the local members of Parliament at the inadequate Government subsidy, and to send a deputation on the subject to Parliament next session.
