ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A BUSHMAN'S SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Lost Night. A bushman named John O'Neill, aged 33, cut his throat in a lavatory of {he Metropolitan Hotel this afternoon. He obtained a loan of £1 from the licensee, ami, after having a sarspariDa and lemonade, said he was going to his room to take medicine. A few minutes later lie was found in the lavatory with his throat cut from ear to ear. Deceased's brother was also staying at th© hotel.
ANOTHER FATAL GUN ACCIDENT. Auckland, Last Night. Eric Ferguson, son of Alexander Ferguson, of Wellington, accidentally shot himself while out rabbit shooting yesterday at Clevedon. Evidently the gun. was discharged as he was getting through a fence. A verdict of accidental death was returned, the coroner drawing attention to the numerous deaths caused of late through the careless carrying of guns. .
