ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
ANOTHER MOTOR FATALITY. By Telegrapn—Press Association. Wellington, April 29. An elderly woman, Mrs. Margaret Reid, who was knocked down by a motor /car in John Street at seven o'clock last evening, was admitted to the hospital unconscious. She did not recover consciousness, and died four hours later. The motor was driven by Mr. E. Williams, of Island Bay. DEATH OF WATERSIDER. Wellington, April 29. Patrick Fogarty, a waterside worker, who fell down the hold of the Kauiona last week, died in hospital. ACCIDENT TO MOTOR 'BUS Hastings, April 29. The Havelock 'bus ran on loose shingle whilo passing another vehicle, and ekidded into a water channel. Two lads named Lankously and Pryer were thrown olf, the former receiving a had face wound, the latter, it is feared, being injured internally.. Both were removed to the hospital.
INQUEST ON MOTOR VICTIM. Wellington, April 2!), At the inquest on the boy, Eric Shapcott, who died of injuries received by being knocked down on the Hutt Road by a motor car driven by Dr. Leahy, a a verdict of accidental death was returned, no blame being attachable to the doctor.
