ARRIVAL OF RAR&NGA AND TAINUI. By Telegraph—Press Association, Wellimrton, April 29. The Raranga, with 1075 troops, anchored in the stream this morning and reported "all well." She was passed as a clean ship, and the troops disembarked in the afternoon. The steamer came via Panama, and had a good voyage, which was marred by losing one of the ship's complement at sea—2/1245 Pvte. D. McDougall. The men reported that they voted solidly against Prohibition. The Taranaki, Manawatu, and Hawke's Bay men leave by special train for Palmerston at 3.55 this afternoon. Those bound for Taranaki and Hawkes Bay will be accommodated in Palmeraton North for one night, and will go on by early trains to-morrow morning. The Auckland, King Country, and Wairarapa men leave by the ordinary expresses tomorrow.^ The Tainui, with 505 troops, also from the United Kingdom, arrived in the stream early this afternoon. The troops are expected to disembark at S a.m. to-morrow.
