QUEEN OF GERMAN SPIES.
IN HER RIGHT PLACE. London, April 25. The Sunday ExpreßS states uiat Lizzie Wethereira, who is now undergoing ten years' penal servitude in Aylesbury Gaol, was the queen of the German secret service, and associated with a German calling himself Reginald Rowlands, whose execution waß announced officially, but without his name, on October 25, 1916. She is the daughter-in-law of a naturalised German subject, who was formerly in the British Diplomatic Service. She obtained, at Scapa Flow, accurate information of tho movements of certain naval units.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Asp.
