(From Our Q#n Correspondent.) April 7 An accident occurred on the 'Eltham road on Saturday evening. Whilst returnins from tcwn to Mangatoki by car the party came opposite a pig. The latter vehicle is alleged to have only carried one light and this was not observed till the last moment. To avoid a nasty collision the car lan into a heuire. one of the passengers. Mr F. Watts, secretary of the Mangatoki TVi-rv Co, receiving rather severe injuries to one of his hands, the fingers being badlv lacerated. On Sitndav Mr Watts was obliged to return to Elthnm and have one of the fingers removed. The other occupants of the car escaped iniurv though naturally there was some excitement as the ear careered into the hedge-
