MORE THAN AMERICA CAN MANAGE Received March 23, 5.5 p.m. New York, March 18. Interviewed at Paris, Mr. Hoover said the United States must feed more than a hundred million people in Europe. He said the critical months for the world will be April, May and June. After that the people would begin to reap the harvest, thereby improving the situation. He said the United States was now bearing the burden of delivering the foodstuffs, but the task was too great for one country to bear. France and Italy had only enough tonnage for their own needs, and the sacrifice urnst come from British and American tonnage.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc.

MR. DANIELS TO VISIT EUROPE. Received March 22, 2.30 p.m. New York, March 21. Mr. Daniels, Seoretary for the Navy, lias sailed for Europe. He will atudy naval aviation problems in France, England, and other countries. The New York Times' London correspondent states that the Admiralty will heartily welcome Mr. Daniels, who will be shown the dockyards and the British fleet, and will be fully informed of the latest developments and devices.—Aub.
