SUPREME WAR COUNCIL.
MORE GERMAN SHIPS SURRENDERED. CONTROL OF NAURU. Received March 22, 2.50 p.m. Paris, March 17. The Supreme War Council settled the naval, military, and air terms. More German ships are to be handed over; thus the naval situation in Germany will be strictly analogous to the military, leaving Germany with a very small navy. The question of Kiel Canal and Heligoland will be deferred. Strong representations have been made to Mr. Lloyd George to remain in Paris, in view of the grave necessity for settling the Rhineland question. Mr. Lloyd George intended to return to England on Thursday to deal with pressing industrial matters. There is a likelihood of Australia and New Zealand controlling Nauru and Angoa, New Zealand having a third interest. The punishment of crimes commission is drafting its final report, there being a good deal of divergency of opinion regarding some of the findings—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
