DOMINION NEWS.

| NO CHURCH SERVICES-OH TRANSPORTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. | Wanganui, March 13. I The Patriotic Association at a meeting yesterday expressed strong condemnation concerning transports and the following motion was passed:—That the notice of the Government be drawn to the facts (1) that a great many privates are applying for their discharges at Home in order to avoid the extreme discomfort of a voyage out in the crowded bottom holds of troopships on an unnecessarily restricted diet, notwithstanding that much accommodation is vacant in the passenger quarters reserved for the officers; (2) that no church services have been held on some transports, and the Government be requested to alter such conditions.*
