ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
: A WOMAN'S DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, Last NightA single woman named Friede Ruby Sanclel, 32 years of age, employed as 1 waitress at an hotel, was admitted to the hospital yesterday, and died there this morning. At the inquest to-day the evidence showed that deceased suffered from peritonitis and septic poisoning following upon abortion. The coroner returned a verdict in accordance with medical evidence, adding that her condition was due to criminal abortion performed on February 27th. DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC. Tnvereru'gill. Last Night. M. Gilbert Duncan, 31 years, a returned soldier, died under an anaesthetic while undergoing an operation for adenoids at the public hospital. CHILD KILLED 'BY TRAMOAR. Auckland Last Night. A six-year-old hoy, Charles W. Coleman, whose parents reside at College Hill, was killed by a tramcar this afternoon. It is stated that he ran from behind orie car, and was struck by another going in the opposite direction.
