DOMINION WAR, EXPENSE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Washington, Feb| 25. Sir James Allen stated to-day that New Zealand's total war expenses account to December 31, 1918, was £55,078,766, namely, war expenditure £51,066,101, relief purposes £261,438, charges and expenses of raising loans £258,020, imprest outstanding in New Zealand £1,235,223, in London £2,263,482. The strength of the New Zealand Division in France on February 19 was 11,373 and in England 18,449. NATIONAL WAR PORTRAITS. Wellington, Feb. 35. Some notable additions hsive been made lately to the national war portrait collection in the Dominion Museum, about 200 photographs having come to hand. Victoria Cross portraits presented include those of Brigadier-General Freyberg (Wellington), Sergt. Brown (Oanuv ru), Sergt. Andrews (Wanganui), Obmmander Sanders and Sergt. Rasaett (Auckland). Others awaiting frames are Captain Storkev (Napier), SergtsLaurent. (Hawera) ami Judson (Auc£land). The value and interest of the national collection seems now fully realised, and appeals for photographs meet with a prompt and appreciative response.
