MIXERS FAVOR STRIKE. OTKSR WORKERS SUPPORT MINERS. London, Feb. 23. Mr Hodgets, secretary of the Miners' Federation, stated at Mansfield that, in order to avert national disaster, the Government must secure the wages and hours' report before March 4 He declared that the railwayman and transport workers supported the miners., He urged municipalities to undertake the buying and distributing of coal with the view of saving the middleman's profit-—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. GREAT STRIKE THREATENED. London, Feb. 23. The Transport Federations officials have circulated all brunches warning them to be ready for a s-trika in every geaport in the United Kingdom to enforce the demands of ti.e btllot The London bakers' ballot overwhelmingly favors a strike to abolish nightwork. It is understood there was a similar result throughout the country. The master bakers threaten to fight to the last.
