PROTEST BY LAW SOCIETY. By Association. Wellington, Feb. ?.ii. At the annual meeting of the Wellington Law Society the following motion was (passed: That this ,meeting records its emphatic protest against the hasty passage through Parliament of important legislation without proper and adequate consideration. The meeting also protests against the delay in the publication of the Statutes, and suggests that no a,lteration in tlie law, except in matters of urgent necessity, should be brought into operation until a reasonable time after the passing of the Act affecting such legislatioa
