f PRICE OF BUTTER INCREASED. Melbourne. Feb. 24. The price of butter has been increased to 186 a Sd per cwt. (Is 8d per lb. A SUSPICIOUS FIRE ! Brisbane, Feb. 24. An attempt to burn down the Gladstone meat works was discovered before damage was caused. Red Rag action is suspected as the result of the recent cancellation of the preference clause in the meat workers' award.
