BOWLING.

THE ELTHAM CLUB. Several interesting games have been played on the local bowling greens during the week, including Pins and Ferns matches. The holders retain the former trophy, but the Ferns changed hands, being won by Messrs. Smalley and Ross. The scores in these two matches were as follows: — Pins. —Holders: Carman, Towers, Carter and Drayton (s.) 21; Death, Stewart, Grimstone and Judd (s.) 14. Ferns.—Smalley and Rosa (b.) 26; Towers and Manley (s.) 19. The championship tournaments are also making good progress. Mr. Stewart is leading in the championship singles, having only lost one game to date. In the | handicap singles Mr. H. Towers holds a similar position.
