FLOATING MINE.
IN COOK STRAIT. The Collector of Customs at New Plymouth (Mr. R. B. D. Eyre) has received a telegram stating that all vessels leaving in the direction of Cook Strait are warned that a supposed floating mine was seen on Friday evening two miles off Pukerua beach between Porirua and Paekakariki.
