TWO CHILDREN DROWNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Feb. 22. Three children named Denia Fisher and Noel and Mildred Crawford were Paying on the river bank at mid-day when the boy Crawford fell in. Fisher attempted his recovery and Mildred also went to his assistance, but they were unsuccessful and the two Crawford children were drowned. Fisher managed to clutch a willow branch, whence he was rescued by another child. The bodies have not been recovered. The eldest child was ten years of age.
