(From Our Own Correspondent). Hawera, Jan. 20. A meeting of the A. and P. Association was held on Saturday, llr. A. L. Campbell presiding over a good The Railway Department notified delayed trains would run north aud south, on both days of the show, February 20 and 27. The Ground Committee was in ■ strueted to bring down a report ou the question of the association farming its own ground in preference to leasing. Show stewards were appointed, and a quantity of routine business transacted. S.M. COURT Mr. W. Wilson, S.M., held a sitting on Friday. Some time was taken up in a claim for £1 17s preferred by A. ftiui-; gall (Mr. Foy) against E. C. Hayton (Mr • Taylor). The evidence showed that a dividing fence between the two parties had been blown down. Plaintiff re-erect-ed half and then got a man to replace the remainder, hence the claim. After hearing evidence the case was adjourned to next sitting. Decision was reserved in a claim for £72 lis for money lent and interest due to John Adams (Mr. O'Dea), licensed interpreter, against Te Puhi Tamatea (Mr. Taylor), The latter applied for a non-suit ou the ground that the contract was unenforeable, not being made out in the name of the plaintiff.
