Received Jan. 5, 5.5 p.m. Paris, Jan. 2. Le Petit Parisian states that an inquiry into the Armenian massacres showa that the victims total 1,500,000. German officers caused the massacre of 1500 at Komen.

Seventy thousand children died of hunger iu another district.

Two thousand vomen, suspected of swallowing jewellery, were saturated with petrol and burned. The ashes wero afterwards passed through sieves to recover the gold. The paper states that Enver, Talaat, and Djeinal Paahas and General von Sandere were responsible for the massacres.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
