RECORD CATCH OF FI3F. A record catch of fioh was IMcently made by the Kooraanga, a- New South Wales State trawler After only 39 hours' actual fishing time the vessel landed no less j. quantity than 964 baskets of edible fish. This represents 57,84011)3, or almost "?fi tons. The bulk of the catch was large deep-sea flat head. 'Tlje decks of the vessel were ji wonderful sight after each haul," said Mr Stead, manager of the State travlers, "when 1 all traces of deck pounds and hatches were completely buried beneath a dithering 9lnmmering mass of fish, reaching from the half-buried trawj winch Tight up to the doorways of the forecastle.
