WEATHER REPORT.
FOR NOVEMBER.
The month was the coldest and most unseasonable on record in Taranaki. Low pressures or "dead weather" continued almost throughout the month, with nights of told, humid atmosphere. With tlie exception of three days, the wind blew bitterly cold from S, to S.W., with fog till 9 a.m. As will 1)6 noted, the readings of the four thermometers gives an average mean of 8 degrees below the corresponding month of last year. Therein it is recorded that ''the nights were generally sultry, with days of" ideal weather." Dense fog occurred on the "2nd till 11 a.m. Snow fell on Mount Egmont on 11 days, thunder occurred on the 7th at 4.18 a.m. and 4.48 a.m. Cloudiness ranged from one on the inth to ten on the. Gth and 17th (sunless days). Following are the re' cords of the month: —•
Maximum thermometer, 52dcg. on Bth, (Biles- on lath. Minimum thermometer, 45de£r. on Ist and '2nd, !>odeg. on Mth and I.7th. Maximum wet hull), 4Sdeg. on Bth and fltk "i-ldeg. on 23rd.
Minimum wet bulli. 44deg. on Ist, 2nd. and 2Stli, -(Meg. on 17th and 18th.
Rotor radiator fsun's heat), 12Meg. on 27th. 151 dep. on 20th.
Terrestrial Tadiator, 43deg. on 2nd, 50deg- on ISth.
Sunshine recorder. lSmin- on 7til. 12hr Smin on With: total, l<l2hr 29min. There were two sunless days.
"Rain fell on 21 days, 21ii points (100 to inch) on 30th, 3 points on IGth; total, o.OSSin.
The wind blew from S.W. IS, S. 9, W. 2. calm one day. Gales occurred on the Ctli, 7th, Stli, mtli, 22nd, and 2f>th.
