OUTFIELD ROAD SITE APPROVED,
*0 IMMEDIATE PROSPECTS OF
BUILDING.
The secretary to the Taranaki Education Board has received a communication from the Hon. D. IL Guthrie (Minister of Lands) regarding the transfer- to the Taranaki Education Hoard, by arrangement with the Xew Plymouth Borough Council, of some land on Cutfield Road, which Ims been proposed as a new site for the West End School. The Minister aaya:—• ''Referring to the representations maae by the deputation, which waited on ine on the mil ult. in regard to tlve question of providing a suitable site for the West End School, New Plymouth, I have to sav that I communcated with my colleague, the Minister for Education, and for your information I now enclose a copy" of his reply. From this you will see'that the proposal to set aside portion of Reserve E, containing acres, lias been approved." The enclosed letter from the Minister for Education (the Son. J. A. Hanan) includes the following passage:—'lt, is unlikely that any immediate steps will be taken to erect buildings on the new. site, but it is very desirable that the area should be vested in the board."
