At a largely-attended meeting of the Canterbury branch of tlio Amalgamted Society of Railway Servants, the following resolution was unanimously carried: "That this large meeting urge upon I the executive council to continue to press for not less than two shillings per day flat rate increase and time and a-half for night work. The members present pledge themselves to stand Tiy the executive in whatever measures arc used to compel the Government to recognise the justice of the claims."
