: ACTION OP SYNOD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurcll, Oct. 17. At the Anglican Synod, to-night tiio discussion on liquor resolutions (telegraphed yesterday) was continued, and on vote being taken the amendment was lost and the motion that the Synod supports the Labor Party's petition was carried, the voting being: Ayes.— Clergy 31, Laity 22; noes—Clergy 17, Laity 12.
