Received Oct. 13, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 11. The Press Bureau announces that the Treasury has appointed a committee, consisting of Lord Inchcape, Sir Thomas Elliott, Sir Cnurles Addiss and Mr. W. H. Goschen, to consider the effect .of the war upon the Empire's gold production, particularly as to the treatment of lowgrade Ores, in the hope that, such a stage •will generally stimulate gold production. —Aus. and N.Z.
