SERBIAN OPERATIONS. ADVANCE OP FRENCH CAVALRY. Received Oct. 13, 5.5 p.m. Xjor.don, Oct. 12. A Serbian official message states: Despite strong resistance, we reached the right bank of the Tottitza River and the massif of Selitchivitza, on the right bank of the Maravava River. French cavalry have advanced as far as Bibovchnitza. Our cavalry occupied Zitmbotolc. We prisonered many and captured three field guns .Aus.-N.Z. Caible Assoc and Reuter.
ALLIES' PROGRESS CONTINUED. AUSTRIANS CLOSELYi PURSUED. Received Oct. 13; 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 12. A French Eastern communique states: The Allies continued their progress northward- The Serbians came into contact, south of Nish, with big German forces, iucluding Alpine Corps units. After heavy fighting, the Serbians reached the river Toplica, 15 kilometres sputh of Nish, capturing three guns. French forces have occupied Prishtina and advanced far beyond in pursuit of the enemy, who is fleeing towards Motrovetzfi. In Albania, the Austrians are retreating rapidly, and ■ are being closely followed.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc- and Renter. AN AUSTRIAN REPORT. Received Oct. 13, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 12, Wireless Austrian official: We evacuated Prizren and Pristina, cn the heights northward of Leskovac. The Germans engaged with the Serbians, and behind the arpy front there were frequent engagements with the enemy.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc. and Reuter.
BULGARIAN BREACH OF FAITH, CATTLE LOOTED FROM SERVIA. 5000 SERVIANS CARRIED OFF. Received Oct. 13, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 11. The Press Bureau announces that the Servian headquarters staff state that during the evacuation of Servia the Bulgarians carried off cattle :.nd other property, contrary to the armistice stipulations. When quitting Ochrida the Bulgars removed 5000 Servian prisoners, whom they ill-treated or murdered, leaving the bodies at the roadside.
