SETTLING SOLDIERS' BUSINESS AFFAIRS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchureh, Last Night. Several soldiers' business affairs have been satisfactorily adjusted by Mr. Frostick, the Canterbury Efficiency Commissioner, under the regulations now enforced. Mr. Frostick stated to-day that his experience led him to believe that the great majority of cases might be arranged by consent of the parties interested without the legal interference of the National Efficiency Board. All that was required was common-sense. . The only possible difficulties he could see might arise out of the insistence upon unnecessary formalities, but if commonsense was applied to the work these difficulties would certainly not be insurmountable. THE NEXT WAR LOAN. Wellington, Sept. 20. Asked to-day regarding the raising of the next war loan, the Finance Minister said that in all probability such an operation would be unnecessary before the early period of next year.
