ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
BODY FOUND IN THE SURF. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. This morning, a man who had gone to the breakwater for the purpose of fishing found the body of a man in the surf at the foot of the breakwater. Papers on the deceased bore the name of D. M. Anderson, and the body has been identified as that of a former resident of Dunedin. There was a boat pass issued by the Union Company (probably at Auck; land) for the Ara'hura, and dated September 20. The body was fully dressed, the usual clothing being covered by a fawn colored motor coat. There were no marks on the body. The only cash on the body was twopence, It is believed the body was in the water only a few hours.
