ENEMY LINES PENETRATED. A BRILLIANT FRENCH STROKE. Rev Jived Sept. 24, 55 p.m. London, Sept. 23. An Italian official report states: On the Asiago plateau the French, by a brilliant coup de main eastward of Sisemol, penetrated deeply into the enemy's Lines.

The British raided the lines northward of Asiago and brought back prisoners. In Macedonia, on tile night of September 21, we continued to pursue the enemy after an advance of twelve kilometres, and captured sixteen villages. Our left wing and centre reached by dawn the line Cairli, Dobrusovo, Musa, Oba. Our right carried a strong position at Mount Bobiski, numerous prisoners being captured.—Aus. N.Z.
