BURNSIDE' STOCK SALE. Dunedin, August W. There wag a full yarding of fat cattle at Uurnside to-day. Prices were steady at about 10s per head below late rate 3.. Best bullocks, to £24; medium, £(lis to £2l; light unfinished, £ll4 10s to £l7;prime cows and heifers to £l6; others £lls 10s to £l3- There was a small yarding -of sheep. As the local freezing works have ceasedj operations for .the season there weroi no export buyera Medium and light-weight sold much on a par with late rates. Prime and heavy weight advanced about Is Gd per head, owing to short supply. Prime heavy wethers 53s fid to sSs'3d; pi-ime, 46s Dd to 51 s 3d; medium, 37s 6d to 455; light and unfinished, 3ds; prime heavy ewes, 42s 6d to 495; prime 30s to 40s; others, 28s to .355. The lamb season has closed, and only a few were forward p.udr they realised to 31s.
