DOMINIONS TO HAVE PERMANENT MINISTER IN LONDON. •

Tie Imperial War Cabinet has decided that each Dominion shall have a permanent Minister in London attending the War Cabinet, thus ensuring the continuity of the deliberations.—Aus.-Nil. Cable Assoc. _
WORLD'S POOD SHORTAGE. London, August 15. Mr Clynes, Food Controller, in a speech in London, said the world's food shortage Was bound to increase, and the avoidance of waste had become more important than ever. Every 10,000 tons of food saved enable America to send 2000 more soldiers.
The Allied Food Controllers fiad just completed a scheme providing for a fair apportionment of food among the armies and population of the various countries. If carried ont in the spirit which the representatives displayed, difficulties such as had been experienced would never return.—Aue.-N.Z- Cable Assoc.
A THOUSAND MILLION IN WAR BONDS.
Received August 16, midnight. London, August 15
Mr. Bonar Law states that the subscriptions to the national war bonds this afternoon reached the stupendous figure of a thousand million. No previous loan in any country had produced such an enormous sum of actual new money Ans. and N.Z. Cable Assoc, and Reuter.
