DEFIANT SINN FEINERS. London, Aug. 15. The Sinn Fein leaders have instructed branches throughout Ireland to hold meetings and not to apply for permits.— Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.

A MEETING DISPERSED. Received August 17, 12.25 a.m. ■ London, August 15. Mr. Dillon, at an indoor meeting at Armagh, denounced the prohibition of the proposed gathering, and also denounced the Sinn Fein, which must heat England to her knees before eli« would allow a hostile republic at her flank.

A procession marched to the meeting ground, bat the police and military prevented the meeting. The gathering quietly dispersed after protesting.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc, and Reuter.
