PURCHASE OF N.Z. WOOL.
DIVISION OF 'PROFITS ON SURPLUS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Further information concerning the disposition of the New Zealand wool at Home, not required l>y the Imperial authorities for Army and Navy purposes, was given to the Farmers' Union Conference to-day by Mr. Lysnar. He said that during the morning the Dominion Wool Committee had met the Hon. Mr. Cuthrie, in order to consider a cable message received from the Hon. 'Mr. Mas'ssey in London. The cable, Mr. Lysnar said, suggested that instead of half the profit on tho surplus as provided for in the contract, New Zealand growers should take a quota, calculated on the basis of the profit realised on the Australian purchase. Mr. Lysnar added that as no details of the Australian purchase were available, it had been decided to leave the matter m the hands of the Prime Minister to do the best lie could. It was also decided}, to cable him asking him to urge that a strong effort should be made tfa stop .the profiteering that is going on.
