PROFIT-SHARING TO BE OFFERED WORKERS.. • July 19, 7,30 p.m. Brisbane, July 19. i The annual conference of the Associated Chambers of 'Manufacturers of Australia decided, in view of the great need of harmony between employer and em-, ployee, that efforts be made as far as practicable to give employees a financial interest in their work by profit-sharing or bonus on production. was also resolved to support Mr. tiughes' advocacy of the Mention of the German colonies.in the Pacific. Other resolutions favored preference of employment to returned soldiers,: compulsorily marking of all goods containing not less than 33 per cent, of Aug-' traliar material and labor and made in Australia; also pushing efforts to edueate the people in the duty of support* ing Australian industry.
