DEPUTATION TO THE MINISTER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July 11. A deputation interviewed Sir William Fraser, Minister of Public Works, requesting help for roads and other necessary works in the Horopito, Raurimu, Taumarunui, and Ohalcuile districts. The Minister said he was unable to promise money for new works now, but he would do whatever was possible for maintenance. He advised the people concerned to consult with the district engineers, who would report to the Minister with a view to making provision for necessary works in the next estimates.
