FIRES IN WELLINGTON.
TWO HOUSES DESTROYED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July 12, Two cottages in Vera Street, Karori, were destroyed by fire this morning. One was owned by Harold W. Brown, and occupied by Richard Simpson, the other one was owned by Mrs. Dyer, of Hamilton, and occupied .by Mr- Hayward. A third house was saved through the efforts of a bucket brigade. Both houses destroyed are believed to be insured.
