INGLEWOOD.

(From Our Own Correspondent-) The annual meeting of the Bowling Club was held on Tuesday evening, when there was a gotd attendance of members. Mr. Leslie (president) presided. The report and statement of receipts and expenditure were read and adopted, and showed a very, satisfactory state of affairs. After deducting £3 lis, bad and doubtful, and allowing £5 12s 2d for depreciation, the club showed a profit of £3B 18 a 2d, which is very gratifying indeed to those concerned in the' management. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. Leslie; vicepresident, Mr. James Wilson; committee, Messrs Percival, Caldwell, G. Morton, and F. Spurdle; hon. secretary, Mr. M. l'ullen; delegates to Taranaki Bowling Centre, Messrs Percival and Spurdle. It wfts decided to continue the banner competitions on lines similar to conditions ruling last season. The clnb competitions during the season prarved most interesting, and _ the singles resulted in Mr. Branch proving victorious, and in the Sealed Handicap Pairs Messrs Percival and Sole and Cottier and Martin dead-heated. The Lister challenge bowls proved a profitable business for the club, no less than 20 games being played, and resulted in no less than £5 4s being added to the, funds of the club, and the donor is de-. serving of congratulation on conceiving Bucli a brilliant idea, which has not only added to the interest of players, but has proved a splendid interest-earning proposition. An extraordinary state of affairs has happened to the club, despite everything else being favorable, inasmuch as the president and secretary have each been dTawn in the ballot.
