.#. * LORD RHONDDA. London, JulyJiS, The death is announced of fiord Rhondda, who has been very successful in the position- of Food Controller in Britain. Lord Rhondda„who was 62 years of age, was the first baron, and leaves no heir. He was educated at' ' Cambridge, and was the head of large colliery interests in South Wales. IBs only daughter. Lady Mackworth, is a most capable business woman and'--is a director of several large undertakings. It GAVE HIS LIFE FOR OS-COUNTRI^, ■ Received July-4, 8-30 p.m. London, July 4, In the House of Commons Mr. Bonar Law and Mr. Asquith paid warm" tributes to Lord Rhondda's services. Mr. Bonar Law mentioned that the disease from which he died originated from exposure* on the occasion of the sinking of the Lusitania. The Premier telegraphed to Lady Rhondda saying that Lord Rhondda gave his life for his country.—Renter.
