, BLED IN THE SNOW. /■' ___ By Telegraph.—Press Association. Oamarii, July 2. Ueorge Stringer, a runholder of Ote kaike, died in the snow last night. He went out at 4 p.m. yesterday over the Otekaike peak, mustering, accompanied by a man named Asliton. A violent snowstorm enveloped them, and Stringer was seized with cramp in wading a creek. Ashton left to bring assistance, 1 but lost his way, and was found by a : search party miles off his course. String- 1 er was stiff when discovered. He was a. married man, without children.
