FARMERS' CO-OP. REPORT. The Farmers' Co-operative Society reports as follows: On Saturday, at Auroa yards, wo held a clearing sale of Mr. Jos. McCarthy's dairy cows. There was a large atendanco of buyers, and the Dairy cows sold at from £l7 to £2O, others £9 10s to £l6 l(ls, averaging just over £ls; iu-palf heifers £lO to £l2, weaner steers £3, weaner heifers £3 7s tjd, bull £2l 10s. 2
At Tokaora, on Monday, we conducted a clearing sale on account of Mr. Bossum. Buyers wero present and we report a successful saie. Best dairy cows sold at from £l3 10s to £l9 10s, others £& to £l3; implements and sundries sold well.
At Matapu, on Monday, on account of Messrs. Freeling aud Daubiu, we held a clearing sale of farm implements, furniture, etc. There was a very large attendance of buyers aud every tiling sold well.
At Opunake )"ar<ki oil Monday there was a fair yarding of store cattle, and prices were on a nar with late sales. We quote: fresh conditioned cows £9 to £lO 15s, forward and store cows £7 to £8 18s, boners £3 lUs to £6 Gs, weauer heifers £2 to £2 IDs, weaner steers £2 12s to £3 3s. The advertised cows on account of Mr. F. W. Rowland sold at from £lO to £ls; those on account of Mr. G. Vlckery, from £l2 to £l7 ss. On Tuesday at Opunako wo held a clearing sale of Mr. K. 0. Mlddleton's dairy cows and sundries. Owing to the very wet day there was a small attendance of buyers. Best dairy cows sold at from £l4 10s to £l7 10s, others £8 to £l3. Manaia.—Fresh conditioned cows £9 5s to £lO 18s, forward and store cows £5 19s to £8 10s, weaners £1 12s to £3 15s.
At Stratford yards on Tuesday there was a small entry of stock, and prices were on a par with late sale. Forward and store cows £7 to £9 ss, weaners £1 10s, ewes in lamb 21s, store wethers 24s Gd.
At Auroa yards on Wednesday we hold a sale of Mr. W. McCarthy's dairy cows, etc. Buyers were present from the surrounding districts, and we report a good sale. July calvers sold at from £lB to £23 10s, August and September £lO 10s to £l7, the 75 dairy cows averaging over £l4. Weaner heifers £2 12s to £3, weaner steers £3, waggon £4B, horses £3 to £ls.
At Mokoia on Wednesday we held a clearing sale on account of Mr. H. Catchpole, and report a successful sale. Best dairy cows £l4 to £l9. others £7 10s to £l2 10s.
At Auroa on Wednesday we also held a clearing sale on account of Mr. P. Duggan, everything selling well. In-calf heifers £ll 10s, lamb#, 21s 6d. An Inglewood on Wednesday there was a fair muster of sheep and store cattle, and a full yarding of dairy heifers. Sheep sold at full late quotations. Store and dairy stock were in good demand, and a good clearing was made at tho hammer. We quote: Fresh conditioned cows £8 10s to £9 ss, forward and stoie cow 3 £G 17s Gd to £B, boners £3 10s to £6, 20-month3 empty helfors £4 10s to £5 13s, 20-months steers £0 to £G ss, weaner heifers £2 to £2 Bs, best in-calf heifers £l2 10s to £l4, others £7 10s to £10; dairy cows sold to £l4, store wethers 18s to 25s Gd, ewes 20s Gd, lambs 12s Gd. On Thursday we held a clearing sale of Mr. S. Flavell's (Eltham) dairy cows, which sold at £J2 to £l4.
At Hastings road, Mangatokt, *on Thursday, we held a clearing sale on account of Messrs Moore and Son. Notwithstanding the very wet day there was a very large attendance present, and we report a good sale. The dairy cows were in low condition, and a good many of them were second calvers, hut they were keenly sought for and sold at from £l7 to £22 10s for early calvers, others £7 to £1(5; the herd of 65 cows averaging £l2 10s; weaners P»ss, horses £ls to £3O, pigs sold to £7 10s.
At Auroa on Friday we hold a clearing sale on account of Mr. W. Morton. The furniture and implements sold at ruling ratc3. Dairy cows £ll to £lB, in-calf heifers £9 to £ll, empty cows £7 to £7 10s, empty heifers £5 to £7 4s, empty ewes Ijs, horses £in. At Auroa yards, at our usual sale, forward and store cows made £G to £8 9s, boneTS £3 to £5 12s Gd, weaners £2 to £2 lis, bulls £8 to £l4 14s, dairy cows £lO to £l6 10s, in-calf heifers £8 10s to £0 10s.
On Friday we held a clearing sale on account of Mr. C. Peufold, Mahoe. There was a full attendance, and everything sold well. The best dairy cows sold at from £lB to £23 Gs, others £9 to £l7.
