FARM AND DAIRY.
C. WYATT'B PEDIGREE JERSEY SALE ON THURSDAY NEXT. At Mangaor&ka, Bell Block, on Thursday next, Mr. Newton Kluu will sell on account iof Mr. C. Wyutt, a catalogue of 27 pedigree I Jersey cattle, Included in which are 13 cows, 1 5 2-year heifers, 1 three-year bull, and 4 year- : ling hulls. The breeding of the cows, as diaplayed, in the catalogue, show descendants of such well-known sires as Campanile Sultan, Doctor William and Rioter of IClncarrow, and these coupled with the strain Introduced into the herd by the purchase of a son of the imported "Pctune's Noble" has left a line of dairy cattle that could well be included In any ! breeder's herd.
The rising 2-year heifers (only Ave In number) are a very nice line, and show h lot of promise. We would like our renders to examine these ' carefully on the (tyy ot sale. Their mothers are all Included in the catalogue, and their sire is a bull named Sentry, No. 2862 in the Hera Book, which was by Mella Ann's Sultan, out of Flora. In the catalogue which is now in circulation the sire of the, 2-year heifers Is shown as "Petune's Msky." This Is an error; the sire should bo Sentry, and breeders are requested to note the alteration.
The yearling heifers are, as catalogues, all by Petune's Frlaity, which was by Mr. E. Griffith's imported bull Petune's Noble. Very few of the Petune Noble blood have as yet been offered under the hammer, but those that have been slod have attracted much attention and realised high prices. The yearling bulls are all by the same sire. The sale will be held at Mr. Wyatt's residence at Mangaorafea, Sell Block, on Thursday, at 12.30 p.m., and luncheon will be provided. Catalogues are obtainable from any of the r-uctioneexs' offices.
