TOTAL AT END OF MAY—21,262. Forty-three returned officers were gazetted out of the Expeditionary Force during the past month, and 1227 n.c.o.'s and men were discharged; 75 of all ranks returned to duty A the end of May the total number of officers, n.c.o.'s, and men returned to New Zealand was 21,262 —Main Body and reinforcements of the same, 19,556; Sainoan Contingent, 1706.
