MASONIC INSTALLATION.

MOUNT EGMOXT LODGE. There was a large gathering of Freemasons at the Masonic Lodge room, Robe street, last night, on the occasion of the installation of Bro. K. B. Bain as AVorshipful Master o t f Mount lCgmont Lodge, No. 070 (Knjilisli Constitution), wheih was csthablislied in 1553. The gathering was a representative one. Both the Be Burgh Adams and Ngamotu Lodges were well represented, and members were present from all the lodges in Taranaki.'as well as from other provincial districts. AYor. l'.ro. H. AMctor S. Griffiths, AV.M., occupied the chair, and received the visitors. The .beautiful ceremony was ably performed by Bro. Griffiths, who installed Bro. Kenneth Burns Bain, the Worshipful Master olect, into the e'hair of King Solomon, according to ancient custom. AVor. Bro. H, J. M. Wills acted as Masher of Ceremonies, whilst the musical portion of the ceremony was in the hands of Bro. Renaud.

Tlio Grand Lodge of Ireland wa*r represented by Right Wor. Bros. A. Goldwater, J. Ellis, W. F. Brooking, ad J. Toms. The following members of the District Grand Lodge of England were present: —Wor. Bros. Edwin Chajtertou, (i. 11. Pope-, A. Graham, P. J. H. WHiitc, T. P., Ford, and K. B. Bain. Tho W.M. invested his officers for the onsiiinc year as follows:—lP.M.. W.B. IT. Victor S.
