STUBBORN COUNTERATTACKS. I BRITISH IIJ3UAIN ORIGINAL LINE. Received May 10, 2 40 p.m. London, .May 9, Counter-attacking stubbornly yesterday, the British recaptured the original line south-westward of the Dickebusch Lake, from whence they were driven after all-dfiy fighting on Wednesday. To-day, however, they were compelled 4,0 retire slightly. On the extreme of this small battle-front, owing to much ma-chine-gun fire, fighting continues about a small pocket The Germans are in a strong point eastward of Millekruis, Otherwise the situation thereabouts is unchanged. The Fren«h withstood an attack fitments.
